Privacy Policy — FreightLoc Driver Verify Mobile App

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the FreightLoc Driver Verify mobile application distributed on the Google Play Store (the “App”). It is the privacy policy referenced in the App’s Google Play store listing.

In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to David Parry, doing business as FreightLoc. Our web application and other services are covered by the separate FreightLoc Privacy Policy.

2. What the App Does

The App lets truck drivers complete freight verification requests sent to them by a freight broker or shipper. Drivers use the App only when they receive a verification link; the App does not require account creation or login.

3. Information the App Collects

The App collects only the information needed to complete the verification you initiate:

• Identity information — your legal name, driver’s license details, and carrier identifiers (MC number).
• Photos — images you capture with your device’s camera of your driver’s license, MC authority documentation, and, where requested, the freight and the last four characters of the vehicle VIN. Photos are compressed on-device before upload.
• Location information — where a verification workflow requires it, the App may collect device location (including in the background) to confirm pickup and delivery. You can decline location permission, though some verification steps may then be unavailable.
• Technical data — basic device and connection information (such as device type and IP address) generated when the App communicates with our servers.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To complete the freight verification request you initiated;
• To deliver your submitted verification details to the requesting broker or shipper;
• To secure the App and detect fraud or abuse; and
• To comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.

Your data is used solely for freight verification purposes. We do not use it for advertising or marketing.

5. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. Information is disclosed only:

• To the requesting broker or shipper — the party that sent you the verification request receives the details and photos you submit, which is the purpose of the App;
• To infrastructure providers (for example, Microsoft Azure) that host and process data under our instructions and contractual data-protection obligations; and
• For legal compliance — where required by valid legal process or to protect our legal rights, our users, or the public.

6. Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored encrypted at rest with role-based access controls and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep the information you submit only as long as needed to complete and document the verification, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@freightloc.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 10. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by licensed commercial drivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy
