Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 27, 2026

FreightLoc (“FreightLoc”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the application available at app.freightloc.com and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your privacy is important to us.

Our promise: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. Period.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the Service. This may include:

  • Account information — name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided through your sign-in (for example, Microsoft Entra External ID / Azure AD B2C).
  • Business information — company name, role, carrier or broker identifiers (MC, DOT, USDOT), insurance documents, and other content you upload to use the Service.
  • Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, browser type, device type, and general location derived from IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We obtain publicly available carrier data (such as FMCSA registration and safety records) from the U.S. Department of Transportation. That information is public and is not personal data about you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the Service;
  • Authenticate users and authorize access to features;
  • Process carrier and driver verification workflows you initiate;
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests; and
  • Improve the reliability, accuracy, and usefulness of the Service.

3. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing, advertising, profiling, or commercial purposes.

The limited cases in which information may be processed by another party are strictly to operate the Service on our behalf:

  • Infrastructure and hosting providers (for example, Microsoft Azure) that store and process data under our instructions and contractual data-protection obligations;
  • Identity providers (such as Microsoft Entra External ID / Azure AD B2C) that authenticate sign-ins;
  • Carrier verification sources (such as the FMCSA) when you explicitly initiate a lookup; and
  • Legal compliance — where we are required by valid legal process, court order, or to protect our legal rights, our users, or the public.

We never authorize these providers to use your personal information for their own purposes.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold. This includes encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents: We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other reasonable means before they take effect.
